I have used the yellow ones for drawing and find them quite good and feel quite nice and the yellow are made from cedar. The black ones, however, are not made from cedar and the finish is not quite as good but for drawing they are still OK. I would not swap a yellow (made in Mexico from cedar) for a black (made in China from ?) But hey use what you have and close your eyes!
