Van Meter is shot five times and nearly dies. This true-life narrative begins with the horrific, violent encounter which leads to the assassination attempt, then progresses to the subsequent investigation and corruption by police and public officials. The forward is written by retired FBI director Ted Gunderson who investigated aspects of the case and the ensuing cover-up. This story is an education which proves that things transpiring around us are not what is commonly believed or reported by the mainstream media. ## Images ![[(The Dreaming Time: Anatomy of a Cover-Up )] [Author: Homer Van Meter] [May-2011] Paperback – 24 May 2011 - Image 1](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/5127OmLYlnL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If your unfamiliar with how the state colludes with criminals and cultists this may come as quite a shock to you and you may eve *by M***D on 16 January 2016* I found this book while researching about the 2 children involved in the Hampstead ritual abuse case via a lecture by Ted Gunderson. He recounts Homers story of how he stumbled (or was mystically led) onto a women about to people sacrificed by a satanic cult in California. It's an enthralling read as we discover the consequences of Homers actions in killing the cult leader and a few other members. If your unfamiliar with how the state colludes with criminals and cultists this may come as quite a shock to you and you may even shake your head and consider it a wild fantasy at best. However those of us who are fully aware of a corrupt establishment and dark forces operating at the highest level it is but further confirmation of our nagging doubts about who is actually running things on planet Earth. The police departments claim that Homer shot himself actually stretches incredulity far greater than a run in with a satanic cult in my opinion. The gripping nature of the two shootouts (the cult would exact revenge a few years later) are enthralling to read.I mark it down a star as I didn't quite tally with some of his esoteric claims. While I do believe in reincarnation it's open to debate claims of Rasputin being reborn as the cult leader and I couldn't agree with the sweeping statement that the Knights Templar and Druids were all evil.I am surprised I am the first to review a book released back in 2011 especially in the States where it made the news channels at the time.On the back of this I will be getting his first book 4900 nights. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. *by T***Y on 26 January 2020* "Criminal history is littered with the broken lives and reputations of men who were wrongfully persecuted for doing the right thing. One such man is John (Homer) Van Meter [...]Unknown to most Americans, a clandestine, interconnected system of secret societies existing within and alongside known entities such as the Skull & Bones, the Bohemian Grove Club, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commision, the Bilderbergers, and the Free Masons, collectively known as the Illuminati, pulls the strings of our governmental, financial, academic, and media manikins. This elite cabal could never exist, or function as it does, in the light of public scrutiny. Their influence is never more obvious than when they seek to punish and silence those who would expose them.Ted L. GundersonFBI Senior Special Agent in Charge (retired)"From the Foreword of 'The Dreaming Time - Anatomy of a Cover-Up' by Homer Van Meter"He goes to the police. And he tells the police, what happened. And they say, he shot himself. He wasshot nine times, with six different weapons. His pick-up truck had twenty fife bullets in it and ... he shothimself. So ... John had a trial. They trialed him. We brought an expert in from Madi... I went to the trial. We'dbrought an expert in from Madison, Wisconsin, who said, he could not possible shot himself, based on thecircumstances. And John was trialed and convicted ... and they changed their story from he-shot-himself tohe-lied-to-the-police."Ted Gunderson - John Van Meter case - from the lecture The Conspiracy Reality at The Granada Forum 2010This case is certainly one of the most grotesque cover-ups of "this elite cabal" in criminal history ever.In this book you'll find Mr. Van Meter's own account of the true course of the events. A must read. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ True story! *by C***S on 12 December 2019* I read this book not knowing for sure if it was a true story or not. After I was done, I found a YouTube video featuring Ted Gunderson talking about his experience with Homer Van Meter. Then I searched for any news articles about Homer's gunfight in the woods in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and found an AP story from 2006 entitled STRANGERS SHOT HIM, LOGGER SAYS HE IS INJURED IN REPORTED GUNFIGHT IN THE WOODS and another one entitled, NEW INFO: Man Convicted of Faking Shoot-out Sentenced to Jail/ProbationIt's all true. Of course, the bits about reincarnation are impossible to verify but, the author is entitled to his own world view and his own spiritual beliefs. It certainly was an intense read and I admire his heroism. Evil does exist in this world and it is up to good men to stand up against it. Thank you, Homer Van Meter, for telling your story. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/73138965-the-dreaming-time-anatomy-of-a-cover-up-author-homer](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/73138965-the-dreaming-time-anatomy-of-a-cover-up-author-homer) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
