A new Trek eMTB with, I assume, Bontregar sealant, failed miserably within the first few weeks. A puncture happened, but instead of sealing it the sealant just continued to pour out, never once sealing the hole. I repeatedly pumped the tyre and limped home. Left the tyre inflated with the puncture downmost, but the next day when I came to pump the tyre up to correct pressure, it just spat out the plug that had formed. I had to remove the tyre and patch the tyre itself. Then clean out the old sealant and replace it with this product, as it was the highest recommended. But, you have to change it every six months! If I was on my old bike and got a punctured, I would have had a spare innertube, that I carry, fitted and been on my way in less than five minutes. With tubeless it only put an end to my ride and took two days to get back up and running. Isn't technology wonderful. If a standard tube fitted these tyres I would have gone back to tubed. Only they're wider and the tubes cost mega £. But if I get another puncture and this goo fails it's getting a tube.
