It has 4 power rails. Solderless breadboards are great for building and testing new circuits because parts can be easily inserted and removed. They are completely re-usable. The BB830 breadboard is rated at 36 Volts, 2 Amps. The current rating is due to the typical heating caused by the conductors (wires) and the internal terminal contacts. A bit higher current and a bit lower heating can be achieved by using square post pins instead of round wires, and using multiple wires or posts to carry current to decrease the contact resistance. It is important to keep the temperatures below the ABS heat distortion temperature which is 84℃. The voltage rating is due to safety concerns of work with hand assembled open-air circuits.
