I know if you put it on a airhose fitting and then pressurize it right away, it won't hold and start to push it out of the threads. I think it takes 24hrs to setup fully. **Q: Use on drinking water systems?** A: Not sure, I used it on air lines outside. I would use Teflon tape on water. **Q: Can one use teflon tape, then apply this product on top of the tape (for water pipe threads)?** A: You would use one or the other, you wouldn't use both... this would take the place of teflon tape. **Q: Can this be used on a high pressured air mattress hose? Shipping wise.... half of them were opened in the box during transit. One completely emptied inside the box, another halfway, and the other two were trickling out. I got 8, four were fine, four were not. The price is not bad for these size bottles, so I'll likely order again.... just cross your fingers it makes it to you without too much loss. The caps on these bottles come off with about half a turn, since they're so short, it's a single thread keeping the tops on so if you get a few at a time, they will likely shake around and uncap each other.
