I opened the pacakage and there was not the slightest trace of truffle fragrance. I unwrapped the layered packaging, sort of like a Russian doll, and when I finally opened the jar .... wham! fantastic, rich fragrance. The top of the jar has a soft plastic stopper that plugs the mouth of the jar, and the cap has a finer thread than most, so it really works to keep in the flavor.
