Let each layer dry completely between coats. Two layers of color glaze then three layers of the crackle glaze on top of that. The label on the bottle gives clear instructions as well. It’s very easy to use. Also- if you’re going to stain your crackles with ink, give your piece a day or so to finish crackling out of the kiln before applying the ink. Wear plastic gloves when handling it after firing and cooling to keep oils from your hands out of the crackles for best ink staining results. **Q: Is this glaze food grade?** A: It says on the label “due to textured surface and difficulty to clean use for decorative use only **Q: Does the cooling of it does to be a specific way or just regular cooling.
