Of course upon decending, the air will condense inside and it will appear "deflated." The pump worked well. I took off one star because my toddler didn't like it and ended up sleeping sideways on the seats. I think it was uncomfortable since the seat slopes ever so slightly down towards the back, making the footrest a little higher. I would have placed her the other way but I was afraid her upper body would roll off.
