"Firstly I’d like to mention how luxurious the packaging is, the presentation box really looks the part in our tasting room. The kit has a wide variety of aromas (far more than kits we have used previously) and all being relevant to the whisky making process, whether that be desirable aromas or off-notes. There’s a manual inside which includes the origins of whisky, something that would definitely be useful for new starters in our Visitor Centre. There’s also an aroma wheel which includes information for whiskies, which is useful for understanding the characteristics of other brands. The quality of the aromas themselves is also something that will assist me with my training as the aromas are authentic and strong smelling. Overall, I think the set will help me develop my nosing and tasting techniques further as well as developing my knowledge of the industry. Review: The quality is fantastic - The quality of both the packaging and the aromas are fantastic. The box that carries the 88 aromas itself is covered in a beautiful green leather accented by gold foiling that just looks amazing when paired together. The aromas are all great and allowed me to learn which scent note was what and pick them out in my favorite whiskeys.

We did not have the time to test out the game but it looks very amusing and the pamflets contained a lot of information regarding the whiskey scents. All the scents comes in a solid quality wood box, and the packaging was really solid, no dents or anything on the box. The delivery was super quick too, made it well in time for christmas even though we ordered it in december and some days before the projected delivery date. If you are a whisky lover or have someone close to you that loves whisky definitly buy this set.

**Q: I enjoy both single malt scotch and bourbon. would this kit be applicable to both or other types such as rye?**
A: Our collection of 88 aromas includes aromas found in Single Malts (including Scotch whiskies), grain whiskies/blended whiskies, Bourbon, Tennessee and Rye whiskies. We invite you to check our Aromaster website and check our Whisky Aroma Wheel booklet, which is included in our Whisky Aroma Kits. You will see that we showcase with our aromas whiskies such as Buffalo Trace, Sazerac Rye, Jack Daniel’s Old No.7...

**Q: Does the Kit privide the chemical names for each aroma? Example: Cloves = 4-vinylguiacol**
A: The manual included in the kit explains the origins of whisky aromas from the grains through germination, kilning, fermentation, distillation and maturation and which aromas are being created through these whisky making steps, mentioning their chemical basis such as phenols (smoky aromas), lignin (vanilla aromas), lactones (coconut aromas)..etc. However, we don't provide a list of all chemicals names for the 88 aromas available in the kit, because when tasting and describing whisky tasters are referring to the name of the aroma itself and not to the chemical molecule. Our kit is used as a tool/game for sensory training, but not for the purpose of chemical analysis.

**Q: Do the 88 aromas expire or lose their scent after some time? If they do, whats their shelf life after they are opened?**
A: The quality of aromas will remain the same for at least a decade if you make sure bottles are properly closed after being used and not stored at direct sunlight for long period of time.

A: The quality of our aromas will remain unchanged for at least ten years if you make sure vials are closed properly after being used and not stored at direct sunlight for a long period of time. Our current stock of Master Whisky Aroma Kit was produced in early November 2019.

The quality of both the packaging and the aromas are fantastic. The box that carries the 88 aromas itself is covered in a beautiful green leather accented by gold foiling that just looks amazing when paired together. This was a gift to a family member for Christmas. The first thing we did was to open a couple of the scent flasks and was amazed at the quality of scents. ### ⭐ very strong chemical smell inside box and all papers and materials inside

As mentioned in another review, this product had a very strong chemical smell that was not possible to clean or remove. My theory is it is an off gas from a glue they used in putting things together. I ended up having to just throw away everything but the scent vials. Very disappointed as the case and inserts were well made and I was excited to incorporate them into my whiskey tasting with friends. However, after several days and much attempted cleaning the smell persists and is very off putting. My whiskey cabinet now has some of the smell after placing one of the booklets inside of it and I'm trying to air it out. For the price premium this is a deal breaker for me, but the return options were just not worth it. I'll make do but beware if you consider purchasing.
