However, the S2000 has a shorter battery runtime and it does not accept 18650 or 26650 batteries. **Q: Do you have to cycle all the light options to turn it on and off?** A: As of at least May, 2022, this light only has three modes. High, medium, and low power. IT DOES *NOT* HAVE A STROBE OR SOS MODE!!! Be aware of this when purchasing. The strobe and SOS modes have apparently been dropped from this model. At some time in the past, this was a five mode flashlight, but no longer. Just high medium, and low. The description doesn't discuss the modes, but older reviews indicate the flashlight used to have 5 modes. No longer suitable for my needs. I'm returning the flashlight. **Q: Does it turn on to the last used light setting?** A: If the light is off for more than something like 10 seconds, it will turn on at full power, not where it was last. I prefer it that way, but if you like a flashlight that stays on the last setting, that is a demerit for this model. **Q: Has anyone had one for two years? My experience is these things last a little over a year, never longer. And you can't buy extended warrantee.** A: We have had it now for just over two years. Use it every night when we take our dogs out after dark. We live back in the woods on 20 acres, with animals that would like to eat our dogs. So we are constantly shing into woods to scare away anything in the area, or at least see it from a distance.
