The drowsiness factor is why I take these at night instead of in the morning as recommended. And though it says to take on an empty stomach, I rarely do that, but these still work pretty well and like clockwork I have a healthy bowel movement every morning right when I wake up. It has a kind of sweet taste which is pleasant but doesn't really smell like anything. I have noticed though that I'm kind of cranky/mean after taking these, at least for the first couple days, so the claims that these affect mood are accurate. As for the weight loss claims, I haven't personally noticed any difference and I've been taking these for the past 5-6 months consistently. The selling point for these imo was definitely the price you pay for the quantity as well as the quality.
