I like the stylish exterior stainless steel and the fact that its a smaller block that doesn't have a large footprint on my countertop. Even with it's small size, I'm able to put a variety of knives in it (everything from a small paring knife to a larger cleaver) and it holds quite a bit of knives. I haven't had it all that long so I can't comment on it's durability but I don't see anything that would indicate that it won't last a good long time.
