A The opening is wide enough to accommodate large sized cubes anyway so i really don't see a need. We put in a handful of ice maker crescent shaped cubes and it last all day. **Q: Does it keep liquid warm?** A: I’m not sure we’ve only used them for cold liquids. But work great for cold milk and iced water. **Q: If the spout is left open, does it leak or drip?** A: When it’s standing upright? No. If you knock it over?
