It seems to work fine and the picture is good. I was kinda disappointed that the remote it came with was for another player, but it works. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars A perfect fit for old technology. *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2010* I have an "old school" component video input high-definition television along with coaxial audio input to my receiver which supports DTS audio. It was great stuff back in 1999 when I bought it. I found this product at a great price, $88 I think, and it fit my needs perfectly. Now I get high-definition picture quality along with DTS sound through my receiver. A very nice solution to keep me from having to upgrade my whole audio-visual set-up to current HDMI format.There are two negatives to report. One, it makes a humming noise while it is running the disc. Two, it takes a minute to open the disc deck when you hit the eject button. OK it feels like a minute, but it's probably about 30 seconds. Solution one, watch action movies with plenty of audio and you won't notice the background hum. Solution two, whistle a tune to yourself when you are standing by the player waiting to put in a new disc. One thin I did notice is that originally I had the video resolution set to 1080p24. I was watching The Dark Knight and a couple times it skipped half a scene after locking up briefly.
