This is a much cheaper way to upgrade the RAM than buying Synology RAM and works just as well. It is ECC RAM, just like the factory RAM. It also allows for a full 64GB rather than the Synology stated limit of 32GB. I noticed a substantial improvement in NAS performance after installing this RAM.
