The seller was not able to help anymore than saying β€œshea butter does not go bad and we will not replace it”. Had to do some of my own research to learn about the smell and YES shea butter can and does go bad within 12-24months depending on storage. The smell is not making me gag like is said to identify a rancid butter... but I would have liked the seller to be a little more informative and helpful to my question.
