My favorite thing is the vibrate feature, which shouldn't traumatize my dogs, but it gets there attention. But when I did use the static shock in the beginning, never had any problems with it burning the skin or causing irritation. Just read the instructions on how to properly use it! I can't really give a good distance review on, except it worked all around my 30 meter back yard with no delay. They might whimper and get scared when using the vibrate mode, but that is just an initial surprise shock with no harm to them. I wouldn't suggest using the static shock unless emergency to get snap them out of any fence fight mode. It was mostly used as a training tool for me to teach them not to run around the flower beds, if they do go on or near it, i would initially vibrate the collar to warn them. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Didn't work for my German Shepherd/ Ridgeback blend.
