It is incredibly bright and has been a lifesaver for navigating our boat on lakes and in the mountains during the evening. In high power mode, it throws a very focused beam an impressive distance. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a true spotlight; the beam is always focused and cannot be adjusted or "spread out" like some other flashlights. It does run a bit hot on the highest setting, but that is expected for this much power. The USB-C charging is a great upgrade over outdated Micro-USB, though the charging port area is very tight. While the included cable works perfectly, I found that some thicker cables, like my Samsung OEM ones, won't fit.
