For my use however, I am using this on a DJ case with a laptop shelf. I had to get a little creative. I applied the hook part of adhesive velcro strips to the bottom of the mount, and since the case is carpeted, I was able to press it into place securely. This way I don't have to worry about permanent screws and can remove it when needed. One thing however is that this solution doesn't have any physical means to prevent the SER from sliding out when the case is closed and moved around. To solve this I used the included velcro cable straps. What is very nice is that when using both together, it wraps almost exactly around the unit, which keeps everything in place. Please see the photo of how I did this. Overall I recommend thi mounts.
