The colour is pretty accurate as the product page, except for the collar / shaft of the boot, which uses a decidedly darker leather on the pair I received. Hopefully it will fade overtime, but regardless, it's the part that is usually covered by the jeans anyways. There is good padding throughout (including the inner sole and the upper part), but incidentally, this also makes the fit so much more snug, and I don't wear socks!!! That said, I have wide feet, and I wish there is a wider fit to choose from. As it is, hopefully overtime, the leather will relax to ease the squeeze. My advice is, if you have wide feet, you may have to go 1/2 size bigger. If you wear socks, especially thick ones, definitely go 1/2 size bigger.
