The instructions that come with the bottle say it's not made for boiling water, but so far (after 1.5 months) I've found that if I rinse the bottle with warm to hot water before I pour my tea in (to lower the temperature difference) the bottle is fine.During the first two uses the bottle leaked, but that was because the silicone ring inside the lid wasn't in the right position. After popping it back in, I haven't had any problems with it. Some people might take issue with the fact that the inside of the bottle lid is made of hard plastic. To be honest, I've never seen a re-sealable bottle where that hasn't been the case and I don't know if that can be avoided. I personally don't mind, the taste of water from the glas water bottle is already noticably better so I'm very happy.There's no protection around the bottle, so it's important to be careful when handling. I purchased them to remind us to hydrate more frequently during the day. They are high quality and sturdy; however, while I carry mine to work with me, I would not send them to school because, well, they are glass. Stainless steel for that. Asthetically, they are sleek and pleasing to the eye. Easy to clean ( it is not recommended putting lids in the dishwasher) and maintains water temperature rather well barring extreme exposures. Cannot find anything negative to share, and I even believe the price is fair and totally worth it. ### ⭐ Pretty, but poorly designed (updated, lower rating) *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 8, 2018* The silhouette is nice - clean and elegant! And the mouth is easily wide enough to accommodate ice cubes if you want.But those are the only selling points. The threads for the lid are weirdly short, so it fully screws/unscrews with 1/2 of a turn. This means that it's trivially easy for the lid to not be seated properly even though it feels secure to your (my) hand.I thought I could train myself to just test the lid each time I closed the bottle, but having to do that after *every* drink of water isn't a workable solution, particularly for a pricey bottle. I'm returning it.****Updating to add that the bottle will also be unsealed if the silicone gasket isn't laying flat - in these cases, the lid will look and feel tightly closed, but any water inside will leak out if the bottle isn't standing upright. (I just discovered this when I went to reach into my bag for a piece of gum and pulled out a handful of water, instead.)The bottle is heavy enough that returning it would cost ~$10 in shipping, so it's going to Goodwill with a note about its shortcomings.
