Just an easy drop-in upgrade to make my system 10g. I'm personally running manjaro linux, and it was literally plug and play no messing about with drivers needed. Speeds are exactly what you would expect. I would just make note to check available pci slots on your system. I had to shuffle a couple cards to get a x8 slot for this.
