Even though it's the most expensive cream on Amazon, it is well worth it. Put it on 2.5 hours ahead of time and it was a painless tattoo for 4-5 hours.

I have been using Dr. Numb for 6 months for work done on by legs. I pat a thick layer on the area to be inked, and wrap with plastic wrap at least 2 hours before tattooing begins. It takes away 100% of the pain for the first hour, and then starts to fade after that. After 2 hours, the numbing affect has completely worn off. But it sure does work for the first 2 hours! I won't get tattoos without this product!
