It is now dense green grass. After it spouts, don't need to water it more often than any other species of grass.I suspect at-least some of the reviewers who wrote that their seeds "never sprouted":- If you didnt water grass seed daily until it sprouts, that's your fault. Any grass seed needs to be wetted each day until it sprouts, DUH!- If you dont cover any of the grass seed at all with anything, not even light cover, then it's bird seed. Duh!.- If you dont know what ryegrass is or didnt read online what ryegrass is, ryegrass is a cool weather grass, so don't expect it to grow in winter 40 degrees F nor in summer 80+ degrees F. For most areas of the USA that means ryegrass is for where you want coverage in spring & fall. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressed, Fast germination, price increased *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2016* Planted at beginning of spring in planting zone 7, when temperatures were not consistently over 50 degrees, dropping below 35 degrees and "frost" several times. Germinated very quickly and is growing fine. When I bought this product a few weeks ago, it was $7.00 cheaper. Had not used this brand before, or tried a perennial Ryegrass (always used annual ryegrass) and would recommend this product, wanting to buy more but seems on the high end of price point in comparison to other name brand products. Currently, (after 3 weeks), satisfied with results, growing in several areas (wet and shady) that tried every other type of grass seed and had not had good results.Will update review with results of this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice germination! Took between a week or two for the majority of the seed to sprout and show nice grass heads. I am by no means a master lawn layer, I ammended my clay soil with a few good bags, hand seeded the area and covered with some topper and proceeded to give a deep water in the mornings after the sun has shone. .
