It has plenty of room with a large outer pocket and an ample main pocket that allows for children to carry toys books and a lunchbag at the same time. It also has a netted compartment on the outside for easy access to small toys or a drink. The material is very durable and I super easy to keep clean. The straps have a nice layer of foam to support their shoulders and back while carrying their items.
