(Full disclosure: over-60 year old fussy woman) I used to clean plates and glasses with a magic eraser since I hate the feel of grit on my plates but this is MUCH faster and does a better job! The regular nylon scrubby brushes are fine for pots and pans but the bristles are way too far apart for dishes IMHO so you have to go over them twice or more to get them feeling clean. It's much firmer feeling than the bottle brushes with the sponge at the bottom (I've had several and always so flimsy) but the sponge on this feels like it will last a long time if just used for plates and glasses/mugs. Highly recommend this!
