It’s the simplicity and FootShape fit of the Escalante but even faster. We made it leaner, meaner, lighter, and more responsive. Whether it’s starting lines, speed workouts, or fast training runs, this road shoe is all of the fast you need to bust through some PRs and win some segments. It’s got an updated engineered knit upper for a comfortable and breathable fit. It’s got Altra EGO™ midsole foam for responsiveness and direct connection to the ground, with a touch of firmness. We kept a lot of the great features of the classic Racer, including the low 22mm stack height for quick turnover and a roomy toe box and zero drop for natural movement. The Escalante Racer 2 is one of the most direct, no-BS shoes we’ve ever crafted.

Review: Comfortable for long road runs - Comfortable and lightweight, and they have good ventilation and dry quickly. They are zero drop and have a wide toe box. I'm transitioning to barefoot shoes and these are ideal for longer road runs. I've done a half marathon in them with no issues. Can't say how long they'll last but I've done 45 miles so far and can't see any wear yet. There was a good review on runrepeat and I couldn't find the normal Escalante in my size, so got these instead, and I think they might be better.

Comfortable and lightweight, and they have good ventilation and dry quickly. They are zero drop and have a wide toe box. I'm transitioning to barefoot shoes and these are ideal for longer road runs. I've done a half marathon in them with no issues. Can't say how long they'll last but I've done 45 miles so far and can't see any wear yet. There was a good review on runrepeat and I couldn't find the normal Escalante in my size, so got these instead, and I think they might be better.
