Don’t get me wrong, it is not a Starbucks bitter strong taste, but the smoothest dark roast you may have ever tasted. I continually purchase many varieties of coffee as I am done with over-priced cafe coffee and am making more coffee at home. After a trip to Kauai this past summer I visited the Kauai Coffee Plantation, it is the largest in the US. I love all their varieties but as with any bean, the dark roast is always my favorite. I was in Kona the week before visiting Kauai and I still loved the Kauai Dark Roast the best. I have purchased 100% Kona beans here on Amazon but I still prefer the Kauai brand. Smoothest dark roast with its own distinct taste.
