Trying to decide between this & the Crosswave Pet corded version.** A: This machine works well for pet hair and has a special brush and formula for pets and a pet hair strainer inside the dirty water tank to catch the hair and debris making it easy to clean. **Q: Does this just vacuum, or will it only vacuum while using the cleaner?** A: It's not meant to be a dry vacuum. It vacuums and washes the floor at the same time! **Q: should I get this one or the corded one? What is the corded one called?** A: Get the cordless version, hands down. The cordless version cleans WAY better along wall edges compared to the corded version. The auto wash cycle is also another hands down feature that blows the corded version out of the water! I’ve personally owned both machines and have since sold the corded one! **Q: Is this product made for use on tile floors with grout?** A: I just put down a marble mosaic in my bathroom. Cleaning up the grout haze is always a PITA, since you can't just push it around with a mop. You have to endlessly wipe it with a sponge, rinsing off the sponge every few strokes. I thought; "Wait. the crosswave puts down water, scrubs and then SUCKS IT BACK UP!" I gave it a try. Holy catfish, Batman! It worked! Hours of sponging in ten minutes! The dirty water tank was DARK (grey grout). I ran it again, and the crosswave had picked it all up on the first try! I'm lovin' this thing more every time I use it. NOTE: Grout haze pickup MAY NOT be covered in bissel's warranty. It could be considered a 'professional' or 'commercial' use. Since then, it's my 'go to' for cleaning the marble mosaic tile floor. It gets the tile surface, leaving it mirror-shiny, and gets into the grout lines too. Just for those that are not familiar, porcelain tile will be EASIER. Unfortunately I ordered a cordless vacuum and got one with a cord. I own a large home and the thought of using a vacuum with a cord compared to a cordless was disappointing. I packed it up and had every intention of sending it back but I kept getting the nagging feeling I might get another vacuum with a cord regardless, because I have no control over what happens. It seemed like a rather large hassle with the possibility of a poor outcome so I unpacked it and am now using it. Having said all that I do find it an amazing vacuum. It’s a bit heavier than I thought it would be but it does a fantastic job! I can’t do my stairs because I find it heavy and awkward so I just do my main floor with it and use a smaller lighter vacuum to do the upstairs. Now once a week I’ll haul that sucker upstairs, to wash those floors. I’m not going to spend all that money and not use it but i was hoping the vacuum would be a bit lighter. The cord is long so that helps. I guess at the end of the day it’s certainly not perfect for the price. but it DOES do a good job!
