It is simplicity's definition: Unscrew three screws, removes the outer casing of the unit, and releases the lamp module-- then slide the new unit in place and reverse the screwing process (not meant to sound as dirty as it does).The lamp, not on low power mode, puts out a strong, bright image with all the sharpness, clarity, and vibrant color as the original lamp (if not better). Additionally, I felt this was a steal at the price this seller offered, given previous purchases. This is my second Optoma HD20, and my forth Optoma projector, and these lamp assemblies are one of the stronger points of the company, and that they aren't strictly proprietary makes secondary market-- like this one-- possible and available.
