It is sturdy and can extend as tall as you want. The real plus is that when it is not in use it slides into itself for easy storage... It is good value for money and ticks all the boxes, so it gets a 5 star rating from me... Highly recommended Review: Holds things up - Can confirm that this pole will do precisely what you want it for. It props things up, including but (presumably) not limited to my copious amounts of washing (seriously, where does it all come from) and the wing nut means it stays up unless I want it not to. Also it's green which means I'm not blinded like I was by the old one (silver...) Update: have had it a couple of months and there are dents from the wing nut screw bit. The top has come off a couple of times but you just pop it back in. I think there are bits missing.. no plastic screw as mentioned by revie.** A: It comes complete eg one long pole with a black eyelet to put line in and half way down there is a black fixture which you turn to make the prop the required height. **Q: is the post made of plastic or metal** A: Metal with a metal screw fitting.
