Everything is packed in clean olive oil with no weird additives, and the quality stands out right away. The fish is firm, flavorful, and not at all fishy. The lightly smoked sardines were my absolute favorite, super tasty with great texture. The octopus came out tender instead of chewy like some brands, the mackerel was rich and meaty, the bonito had nice smoky depth, and the cockles and mussels were plump and delicious straight from the can. I mostly ate them on crackers with a bit of lemon or hot sauce, but they would work great in salads or on toast too. I gifted a few cans to my dad, and he loved them. He couldn’t stop talking about how much better they tasted than regular grocery store stuff. The only downside is they’re not cheap, but for the variety and step up in quality, it’s worth it as a treat or to share.
