On the way back to the launch, i was just slowly trolling on the 8hp yamaha kicker. All of a sudden, the boat starts to go in circles. I purchased this item to replace an old used piece and works great. Would definitely buy again

I like these! There is one thing to be aware of. There are O-rings that are loose in the socket. So when you take these off the engines the O-ring can fall out. They’ll still work without the O-rung they’ll just rattle a little. I solved this by putting a tiny bit of 3M 5200 on the O-rings to glue them in. Time will tell if they stay in place.You’ll want to order 3/8 NF 304 stainless all thread rod.
