After the first use, I was disappointed with the temperature and weakness of the coffee. (My Mr. Coffee 8 cup coffee maker makes it hot and strong!) I now heat up the water in the microwave first and then pour it into the coffee maker and use 2 T of ground coffee. This makes a cup of coffee that's decently strong and the perfect, hot temperature for my preferences. Also, I use a glass measuring cup to heat the water up and pour it into the coffee maker because when I try to pour it in from a mug, it goes all over the counter.
