It’s got a good weight to it. It’s not heavy but it keeps you warm during the winter. I love that it’s oversized. We aren’t fighting over the covers. Plenty of comforter for everyone. It isn't quite as thick as I was hoping, but the vertical lines give the illusion of more thickness. If it's too thin then it's just like a blanket and I wanted a true comforter without spending a fortune. It's got a modern look while also being very comfortable. My husband who doesn't notice most things right away, LOL, noticed this right away. He felt it and said "I want one of these." It may get too hot for those who run on the warm side, but for me who's always cold, I find it delightfully cosy and warm. We live in Colorado so it's perfect. It'll be fine in the summer too because we keep it cool inside with the AC. If it's too hot, you can roll it down to the foot of the bed. It seems very well made as well. The grey is a true dark grey.
