I wanted something that didn’t require me taking my eyes off the road so cup holder mounts were out of the question. I didn’t want a windshield mount as they obscure my view. I waded through a myriad of mounts until I stumbled on this one and read the reviews regarding the performance on boats. It was more than I wanted to spend but I have no regrets spending extra now. This thing sticks! Almost too well. I have it attached to the curved lens on my instrument cluster over the tach. It’s not going anywhere, period. In fact it’s a real struggle to remove it. The phone clamp works great and the mount has a low profile, it’s not hung out on a long arm like so many others. It fits nicely in the intended location and it’s fairly easy to pop the phone release when I exit the vehicle. I use it with an iPhone XR in a bulky Pelican case fits without an issue.
