I bought this for my 8 year-old daughter. It was perfect she was able to use this with very little instruction and has made 3 bracelets since. She is almost ready for the more difficult patterns. It is really great to find a toy that is educational and promotes creativity that my child loves!I will buy this product again to give as a gift! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fabulous - but NOT for under 10-12 years old *by L***S on December 18, 2010* This toy is well-made and easy to carry and put away. Lots of supplies and I would definitely buy it again - if it were for a much older child than I bought it for (a 7 year old). The box says for 6 and above, but if a kid can figure it out at that age, then she should be enrolled in MIT. Child's mom and I sat down with the directions and wove a complicated combustion of colored strings (loop one over two, now three over 5, now.....). The child ended up getting bored and walking away as mom and I figured things out. If your kid can read and comprehend well and is somewhat talented in crafts, I highly reccomend this toy. If your kid is under 10, I wouldn't try it unless you, yourself, are interested in completing the project. ### ⭐ Plastic Friendship bracelet maker is too slippery *by G***. on June 25, 2014* Use a simple $2 clipboard and look online for instructional videos. The plastic is too slippery to hold threads and is an exercise in frustration. Manufacturer needs to redesign this to a non-slippery surface. I'm an adult and had problems with this.
