You will need a separate HDMI 2.1 cable or better to support VRR. I had one and after fighting with my steam deck I was able to get it to work. So overall, this monitor was perfect for my needs. The size is perfect and even coming from two 32inch monitors at home I don’t feel like I am compromising anymore when I travel (definitely not the case with 16 inch monitors).
