If you've never used natural silk definitely do research as it is a very finicky material (naturally slippery and shows any pinholes so weights are best for holding the pattern down, but again, slippery) it arrived perfectly packaged with the amount I purchased written on the bag. Immediately tested with flame to confirm it was real. Held dye extremely well, actually had to remove color and dye again, it was actually much softer and more pliable after the second round of stovepot dye bath. It looks gorgeous, it has held up to all the abuse I have put it through and the price was fair. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I needed. *by on Reviewed in the United States August 15, 2026* Excellent price. As far as I can tell it is silk. I did a few tests and it powders into ash when burning, which is a good way to test if it is authentic silk. It's exactly what I need and it's a good size. I appreciate that it's yardage and not a fat quarter or something. This way there is a selvage and you can determine the weft vs the warp for embroidery or other surface embellishments. I would definitely buy again. I received a damaged package last time, however, it was replaced without a problem.
