A: Iam not a Northern Pike fisherman but dont see wire this wire would not work. I will say this my favorite wire to use in Tampa Bay is the AFW Nylon Coated wire. It comes in different weight from 10lb. up to 210lb. The AFW Tooth Proof is alittle to stiff for my choice. Hope this helps, have a great fishing day.

You can make just about anything with this wire. Hi quality stainless steel to prevent toothy fish from cutting you off or wire forms for the inside harness of a lure. You will need rounded end pliers to bend and roll the wire.

So I actually use this as the wire for my soap cutter (I make handmade soap in large silicone loaf pans). I cannot attest to its use for fishing, but it works well as a cutting wire.
