I’d estimate you could wear these for well over seven days before they smell as much as a cotton pair would after just one day. I don’t use them with the intention of being unhygienic, but when you’re trying to carry more water or food and space is limited, having just two pairs of these could easily cover you for extended periods in the wild. I’m genuinely amazed at how odour resistant they are. I also own merino wool socks and thermals, and they perform just as well in terms of odour control. I’m now looking forward to replacing more of my hiking gear with merino wool.
