Getting the hat to absorb a little moisture took a bit of water - these hats are water resistant and water tends to bead off. But setting the wet hats in the sun did the job. The extra-wide brim does an excellent job keeping the sun off your face. They do look a little goofy because of how big they are, but the protection is worth it. The price was good as well.
