Problem with too much zinc is you can get a copper deficiency... which apparently aggravates skin conditions. After one heavy use last night, and a lighter one after getting out of the shower today: My "newer" patches are no longer scaly (some minor light flakes) and the scalp is not red and inflamed. My "older" patches are still there, and probably still red, but the scale is not as thick. Actually the older patches are kind of "lumpy" which tells me I missed a few spots. Overall a dramatic improvement.
