I clicked on the "buy this item again", so I expected to get the same towels, but, Noooooo! They are the inverse of the others. While I was amazed by how quickly the first set absorbed water, I was stunned how the towels in this second set pretty much just push water away as if they had been treated with Scotchgard™. When I touch them with wet hands they feel unpleasant–slick, as if coated with... well, something. I have laundered them several times (yes, without fabric softener), but no joy. In comparing the towels, I discovered that my original (wonderful) towels have tags that read "Novex", but these new ones have tags that read "Sinland". The fabric content matches, but, to quote Kurt Koffka, "The whole is other than the sum of the parts". I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cloth as well as the large size. The waffle pattern looks pretty and they work well to dry dishes and hands. This light cream color goes well with everything. I highly recommend these dish towels to anyone who needs a new set.
