They are a fairly new string from D'Addario but as other D'Addario strings iv'e used they are a well made and sound good.I would buy again. **Q: what size string length should I get for P bass** A: Standard string length for Fender P Bass is 34". The short scale will be too short DON'T get that. The extra long would work, but you'd have to cut them down. **Q: These come with 5 string?** A: This was a 4 string version of the set.
