Yes, some indicate the mat is too thin but we found it to be the perfect thickness and protects the floor quite well. Depending upon the size of the wheels on your treadmill, you may need to lift (not roll) the treadmill on to the mat as it tends to roll up under the weight of the treadmill. We lifted our treadmill onto the mat, go tit aligned and all works perfectly.

Great mat. It came as an Amazon suggestion with the bike I had purchased, and I am glad I bought it. It definitely saves the carpet from damage! And after two years, it does have noticeable dents from the bike's weight, but it is holding up very well!
