This natural clay is mined and produced in formation at the same time and is produced by high temperature which is deployed in clay for a strong, lightweight ball. These balls are for Aquaponic use. That is, you have a separate container, usually above the tank, where you grow plants, usually herbs. The 10 liter bag is huge and will handle a container above a 20 gallon tank. I think that you get 3x what you need for aquaponic use. Fish tank has aquarium gravel in it, you do need 10-20 pounds of aquarium gravel in a 20 gallon tank **Q: Will this bag fill 4, 6in net pots?** A: yes, is a big bag. **Q: Cant you use these in the bottom of your planters under coco coir n or soil?** A: It can, but it’s not “best practice” or whatever - you can end up with perched water, which can be harmful to plant roots. **Q: Can these be used in the bottom of a vivarium?** A: Xthey can serve as drainage.
