I got it to go over the carpet in my sons room under the foot of his bed. I would not recommend this product to go over a carpet surface.The item was delivered in my mailbox. You read that correctly. A 4'x6' rug was able to fit in my mailbox.When I took it out, it was heavily creased because of being packed so tightly. After steaming it for a while, I was able to release a lot of the creases.The plan for this rug was to go under part of my sons bed and have the bottom legs resting on it. Again, I would not recommend this for someone with carpeted floors because it isn't thick enough to look good with any kind of weight on a soft surface.I still provided 4 stars because it is a beautiful rug and it does look exactly like the pictures.
