I am sure it is long enough for most people, but just another inch would allow it to fit many more faces and the way the attachment is designed the boom can still be shorted if needed without any design changes. With that caveat out of the way here is how I use mine and why I still gave it five stars:I pair this product with a $30 Behringer (UM2) interface so that I can have active monitoring (hear my voice in the headset) and there is no latency. The UM2 provides the pre-amp for the MIC and is powered by USB from the computer so it is dead simple. I use mine with Linux, no drivers are necessary. Of the hundreds of boom mic headsets out there, not one just builds this into the earpiece because power and latency are challenges. The setup I described provides an inexpensive but quality solution if you don't want to talk for hours sounding like you have stuck your fingers in your ears.This boom mic allows you to choose your own headphones if you have a pair you like for sound and comfort. It also comes with a cable management kit so that you can combine the mic and headphone cable together, no tangles. That was a great detail that I appreciate they thought about.So just make that boom a little longer in the next model, please. Every other detail and advantage is a winner and I recommend the product for PC phone calls, game chats, podcasting, zoom meetings, etc. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Decent mic but lots of electronic noise when using the Antlion XLR adapter *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2019* I got this to use with my audio interface (RME UFX II).The preamps are extremely low noise. This leads me to believe that the XLR power converter is generating the noise issue.I will keep it, because it's convenient for my use case. If you are using for applications where low noise is critical, look elsewhere. It's pretty bad.Again, I use it with the Antlion XLR power adapter, so it's possible that the noise is coming from there. The online demos don't seem to have this issue, but they are all running 3.5mm in directly to a 3-5v powered source (i.e. a standard laptop/pc mic input).Seeing other reviewers say that the XLR adapter was not noisy for them, perhaps mine is defective? ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Lots of interference, item returned. *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2019* The microphone is very susceptible to RF and electrical noise. This device is practically unusable if you're within ten feet of a wireless access point, or if powering the device through any sort of mains-referenced power supply. Wi-Fi interferance is actually a known defect, the manufacturer admitted to not including adequate shielding.Powering the device using phantom power from the USB XLR ADC resulted in lots of noise when plugged into my desktop, or my laptop when charging.The only time I was able to get clear audio from this device why is one plugged into my XLR adapter into my laptop while battery-powered.Apart from the interference issues, the audio quality was decent, and it is adequate for any sort of or phone use.
