If you can get it in gallon form it would be better. You need to put a heavy coat on ,so at a guess, 15/20 cans ,do not do now ,ie winter too late . The salt would strip it off within weeks , once done top it up ie check it quarterly, probably only need 2 cans for that . Ps the salt on the roads now seems really aggressive, goid luck. **Q: How many years protection on this product ?** A: Not sure but i did mine last October and it looked really good but after the winter it looked not so good so i did it agai to freshen it up **Q: Can i spray it straight on the rust or the place needed to be prepared first** A: If you follow the manufacturers procedure, you should treat the corroded area 1st, with their Rust treatment which also allows the Black to adhere to it, as it acts as a primer undercoat. In my opinion if you prepare the corroded area say via a wire-brush and then spray it black itll not last a winter. **Q: Is this stronger and longer lasting than that hammerite underbody with added waxyoil, if so would it last 10 years without any touch ups?** A: No idea if it would last 10 years. Used hammerite and it rusts through quickly. Used waxoyle and this is a far better , but much more expensive product. Stinks and smells your garage out but only for about 10 -14 days or so ## Frequently Bought Together - Dinitrol 4941 BLACK UNDERBODY WAX 3 x 500ml AEROSOL SPRAY CANS - REJEL 2 x DINITROL ML PENETRATOR RUST PROOFING CAVITY WAX 500ml, BROWN AEROSOL DOOR SKIN --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/76448599-4941-500ml-black-underbody-wax-aerosol-pack-of-3](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/76448599-4941-500ml-black-underbody-wax-aerosol-pack-of-3) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
